Results:

Mark Agbalog, 14 of Han's Taekwondo Academy fought courageously at the 2010 U.S. Open.  After suffering a cracked tooth from an illegal punch in the round of 16, Agbalog continued to fight in the round of 8 against Chinese Taipei.  Mark fought valiantly against the experienced fighter, but couldn't close the deal.  A spin kick attempt almost tied the game, however, the kick was not hard enough to score.  FINAL:  round of 8

Joey Stieger, 14 of Han's Taekwondo Academy also made it to round of 8 by defeating Dominican Republic, but lost to a fighter from ESA, Colorado.  Also, in the final seconds of his match Joey landed a round kick to the chin of the opposition, but no score was awarded.  FINAL:  round of 8

Alexandria Carino, 14 was eliminated in her bout with Germany.   Great fight, just not the right time to win.  There will be other days.  AJ is in great spirits for her next fight on Sunday.  Wish her luck....FINAL:  round of 16.

In summary, our 14 year olds were underdogs in their 14-17 division, but we worked hard, we participated, and we didn't give up!  Han's Taekwondo is very proud of their fighters.  Let's celebrate!

SUNDAY

Alexandria Carino, 14 years old fought hard in the 18-32 years old Fin weight division at the U.S. Open.  Carino won Jessica Burn of Canada to move to round with Victoria Alvarez of Chile.  Alexandria's fights were very exciting and energetic.  Han's Taekwondo Academy is very proud of her performance and is very happy she had the opportunity to compete with such high level opposition.
