2009 was a fantastic year!  We had many black belt additions to our student body, and 21 National Champions, 5 Western U.S. Regional Champions, and an exceptional 53 State Champions from 2 State Championships! 

Han's Taekwondo Academy is training the best taekwondo athletes in Bakersfield, and we HAVE the stats to prove our claims.  Our success is coupled by the cooperation of our students' families with the direction of Grandmaster Han and Master Francis.  Our program is Nationally recognized and accredited by the Kukkiwon and USA-Taekwondo.

Members of Han's Taekwondo Academy gathered for the 4th Annual Christmas Party and Awards night.  The awardees of are as follows:

Student of the Year (Full Time Attendance/Essay):  Jillian Jo Medina, Joey Stieger, Genetra Anthony, and Haileigh Russell. 

Academic Student of the Year (Full Time Attendance/GPA 4.0+):  1st-Justin Rodriguez, 2nd-Taylor Russell, and 3rd-Garrett Pedersen

Athlete of the Year (Full Time Attendance/Progression Team Member/Medal Count):  1st (Tie)-Jonathan Gallegos and Christopher Crisostomo, 2nd-Ethan Gallegos, 3rd (Tie)-John Estacio and Rashall Holguin

Highest Achievement Award (Full Time Attendance/U.S. National Team Trials):  Alexandria Carino

2009 Most Dedicated Student Award (+Full Time Attendance/Exhibit numerous honorable qualities):  Mark Agbalog
